Influencer Expression Project

Welcome to the Influencer Expression Project, created as part of CMGT 568: Influencer Strategies at USC Annenberg, taught by Professor Freddy Tran Nager.

The page features two deeply personal video essays. The first, You Doing Well –– That Alone is An Act of Feminism, is a reflection on gender identity, self-image, and the quiet power of growing into oneself. The second, Baking Bread Made Me Fall Back in Love with Eating, is a warm, humorous story about rebuilding a joyful relationship with food through the magic of fermentation and sourdough.

Enjoy the stories—and maybe, reflect on your own.

You Doing Well -- That Alone is An Act of Feminism

This is a deeply personal video essay exploring how I’ve come to understand and embrace my identity as a girl beyond societal expectations. Told in Mandarin and grounded in my lived experience, the piece reflects on gender, self-image, and the quiet power of growing into oneself.

Baking Bread Made Me Fall Back in Love with Eating

This is a personal storytelling video that follows my journey from falling in love with bread to learning how to bake it myself — and, in the process, rethinking my relationship with food. Through humor, failure, and the quiet magic of fermentation, I explore what it means to eat with joy instead of guilt.
